Mold, Mildew, and Etching on Travertine
Homeowners in Encinitas contacted us saying their travertine bathroom was stained. Travertine in a damp environment such as a bathroom should be cleaned and sealed on a regular basis to prevent deterioration of the stone’s appearance. Travertine is a very dense stone, so it is not likely to become stained from spills, but as with any bathroom environment, mold and mildew can be an issue. This particular bathroom also had etching from improper cleaning products.
Travertine Problems Resolved
