Saltillo Tile Floor Restored

Problem

Our clients had just purchased a beautiful home in Pauma Valley with a Saltillo tile floor that was over thirty years old. The sealer had turned white under the area rugs that the previous homeowner had put down, as you can see in the BEFORE image. Our clients wanted to avoid the expense and inconvenience of tearing out the existing floor and having it replaced.

Solution

The new homeowners were happy when we told them that we could restore the existing tiles. We hand stripped the floor to remove the old sealer and cleaned the floor using our new, state-of-the-art equipment. We set up high-speed fans and allowed the floor to completely dry, and then we applied four coats of premium, low-sheen sealer. Wow! Look at the AFTER image. What a difference.
